Overall, it is clear that the cooking accounts for the biggest proportion for both genders, while the figure for the house repairs shows the smallest percentage. Moreover, the average time that is spent on these tasks by females is higher than that of males.
Looking at the details, the proportion of cooking by females is higher than that of males, at 25 percent. The percentage of men cleaning is nearly 1.5 times lower than women’s. Pet care accounts for almost the same percentage for both genders, at 20 percent. Men are significantly higher than women on house repairs, 19% and 7%, respectively.
In terms of average time, women are dominant in cooking and cleaning, taking 84 minutes and 66 minutes, respectively. These amounts differ by 24 minutes and 22 minutes from men’s. Both genders spend a similar amount of time on pet care, with 20 minutes. The time that is spent on house repairs by men is nearly three times higher than that of women.
