Overall, it is clear that women participated the most in doing household tasks and cooking was the most significant activity with highest percentage of time spent on by both genders.
Cooking happened to be the most popular house chores among both women and men with 80% and 60% respectively. Followed by cleaning where females cleaned the house with 60% of the time and males lagging behind with 20% less comparatively. The proportion of caring for pet seemed to be similar for both parties. The only activity where men surpassed women was with house repairs with around 15%.
In contrast, the time spent of each activity remained unchanged with the proportion as women spent about 80 minutes cooking and men 60. Similarly, ladies cleaned the house for about 68 minutes where men cleaned for approximately 45 minutes. Moreover the proportion and the amount spent was similar for both in case of house repairs and pet care .
