The first bar chart illustrates the proportions of males and females involved in four kinds of housework. The second chart shows the average time each gender used for doing housework.
Overall, cooking showed the highest proportions in both charts, followed by cleaning, pet care, and house repairs at the least.
In the first bar chart, 80% and 60% of females do cooking and cleaning, which are higher than males by 20%. In contrast, both men and women share the same percentage in pet care, which accounted for 20%. The proportion of house repairs by men, however, is higher than women by 10%, which only 9% of women are in this field.
Moving to the second chart, females spend 85 minutes for cooking and 68 minutes for cleaning, while males only spend 60 minutes and 45 minutes for the same tasks. Pet care still shows the same data in both genders, which takes 20 minutes. In contrast, women use 5 minutes for repairing houses, and this is significantly four times lower than men.
