The line graph illustrates the mass of fruit released by farms and amount of fertiliser needed for their production per months in 2013, while the bar chart shows the monthly rainfall in that year. The numbers are measured in tonnes and millimetres, respectively.
Overall, the figures for the tonnage of fruits fell significantly after a sharp increase in March. Usage of fertile in turn, had fluctuation trends until it slightly decreased in November, while rainfall had undergone a huge decline before it started to rise, though without reaching its initial level.
Fruit production started at just over 2 tonnes in January and climbed steadily until it reached a peak in August , accounted by 4.25 tonnes. After that, output dropped sharply , returning to around 2 tonnes by the end of the period in December.By contrast, fertiliser use increased to just under 1 tonn in April, then fell dramatically to zero in June and July.It recovered in the Autumn months to about 0.7 tonnes, then slightly dropped to just below 0.5 tonnes by the end of the year.
Rainfall was highest in February at 16 mm, but then experienced downward trend , hitting its lowest at 4 mm in July , August and September. In December it rose again to about 14 mm.This pattern corresponds with fertiliser application, while fruit production was the strongest when both rainfall and fertiliser were relatively low.
