This figure rose gradually to approximately 265 million in 1999, followed by a sharp increase to a peak of 300 million in 2001. After this peak, the number of passengers decreased to 280 million in 2002 and remained stable at this level until 2004.

Regarding the percentage of on-time trains, the figure started at just over 92% in 1995. It then underwent fluctuations, dropping to around 86% in 1997 and 85% in 2000, while peaking at roughly 93% in 1999 and 2002.
