The charts show how many passengers using train between 2000 and 2009, along with the punctuality rate of train.
Overall, there was an upward fluctuation in figures for train passengers during the given period. Additionally, except the dramatic decline from 2004 to 2006, the rate of punctuality rose consistently and ended at the highest proportion surpassing the target one. This last year is the second period which achieved or exceeded the goal.
As can be seen from the chart, the number of passengers travelling by train started at nearly 36 million, which slightly climbed to 40 million before dropping again to almost the initial figure at 2003. The next 2 years witnessed a steadily grow of 10 million, followed by a decrease to approximately 40 million and a recovery to 42 million in the last year.
Looking at the standard percentage, it remained unchanged at 95%. The percentage of trains being punctual increased considerably from 92% to 96% 4 years later, followed by a fall to the former level in 2006. Thereafter, the figure soared to a high of 97% in 2008 and remained the data until the end.
