Overall, it is noticeable that in 2000, the common amount of individuals living in the New York was significant higher than in two another years. In contrast, in 1800, that of people was the lowest.
Moving to a more detailed analysis, the second table demonstrates changes only in one area, in Manhattan. In 1800, population in this area was 60,515, that consist of 76% of total population. However, there was a nagligibal increase in residents of Manhattan in 1900, and it make up 1,850,093. But then there was a slight drop in 2000, before this it number accounted for 1,538,096.
In addition, the third table provides data about other four districts such as Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens and Staten Island. In 1800 saw a similar situation as in Manhattan, the population was only 18,701 that comprise of 24% of total population. Then, during the period from 1900 to 2000, witnessed a noticeable growth in number of residents in these areas. In 2000, this amount constitute 6,471,089 , and the majority amount of people living there about 81% of total amount of people witch lived in New York.
