The flow chart illustrates the steps for obtaining a driving license in the U.S.
Generally, managing the driving license process is meant for individuals aged up to seventeen years who are legally allowed to drive independently. This journey typically takes a day, but it can involve long hours of waiting in queues and for exams.
To begin this process, applicants should prepare their identity documents to present at the driving license center and fill out the registration form, ensuring that their information is accurate. Moving on to the second stage, an eye test is conducted to prevent incidents while driving. If the applicant passes the eye test, they will proceed to the payment process; otherwise, they will not advance further in the process.
Once the payment has been made, there are two types of tests: the written exam and the road exam. The first exam is the written test. If the applicant does not pass the written exam, they will have the opportunity to retake it until they qualify to move forward. In the road exam, a responsible authority will monitor the exam directly to ensure that the applicant understands the road signs and is attentive to the driving equipment needed to pass the road exam. Successfully completing this exam results in the official issuance of a driver’s license.
