In general, the process of getting a US driving license requires 2 main stages, starting with going to the driving license center and ending with getting a license. Additionally, this is a complicated process so the candidates have to be careful and study hard.
In the first stage, after going to the driving license office you have to fill your personal information in the forms, followed by an eyesight test. If you fail this, you will not achieve a license. However you have to pay a fee when you pass and you must take part in the written exam subsequently.
If you fail the written test, you will be given 2 chances to redo it and once you flunk it, you will get back to the paying stage. In contrast, when you pass the test, you will proceed to the final exam. When you get over the driving theory exam, you will need to do one final test which examines your ability to drive a car in reality. Once you overcome this examination, you will finally obtain your own driving license and are allowed to drive. In contrast, if you fail the driving exam, you will have to pay the fee again in order to retake the test from the beginning.
