The exhibited flow chart illustrates the process by which sweaters are produced in the garment factory in Bangladesh.
Overall, there are sixteen principal stages necessitated to manufacture sweaters, commencing from collecting yarn and culminating in the delivery for commercial sale.
At the outset, yarn is collected by the factory before being wound for distribution to the next stage. Subsequently, the yarn is knitted by machines to create sweater panels. Then, knitting panels are sewn together after they undergo an online inspection. Afterwards, the products are inspected online again to ensure that there are no damages. Subsequently, the excess threads are removed by trimming before experiencing a light checking and mending process, in which if any problems are found, the products are sent back to the second stage.
If there are no problems, workers create button holes in the sweaters before rinsing them to refine impurities. Next, the products are labeled with the brand name and size and ironed before being inspected by the factory’s quality team. After that the products are folded and packaged. In the penultimate stage, the sweaters underwent the final inspection to be ready for distribution to retailers.
