The two bar charts illustrate the percentages of participation in work-related training in Australia, by academic qualification and by sex in different fields respectively. The first chart is a single comparison between different levels of higher education, whereas the second one compares how male and female workers fare against each other within different trades.
Observing the first chart, would substantiate that higher education workers tend to follow more training programs, which is further cemented by a a participation rate of more than 40% in groups that have at least a Bachelor’s Degree, and a mere 17% of workers with no qualification at all.
As it is depicted in the second chart, in labour- intensive fields, such as labourers and heavy machinery workers, male employees are far more inclined to seek further training; nonetheless, the percentages are low overall in both sexes. Males significantly dominate training program participation in customer service trades, although overall engagement in these courses remains low. High participation rates are prevalent in Managerial and office-related professions, with females leading in those categories substantially.
