The diagram exhibits different ways of how rainwater can be reused for various household purposes. Moreover, it also demonstrates a few eco-friendly approaches of discharging wastewater into a river.
Overall, it is a circular process that comprises of 5 major stages. The first three steps represent how rainwater can be purified for sustainable use at home, whereas the remained 2 steps illustrate how the wastewater can be properly discharged.
To commence, the rainwater is stored in a dam where it flows straightforward into a water treatment plant before turning into drinking water. Secondly, the rainwater can be recycled in a special system before being used for chores or other purposes at home. Thirdly, the rainwater is also stored in a rainwater tank for the same reason.
Nevertheless, household wastewater is transported into a wastewater treatment plant before being converted into excess treated water, which is ready for being discharged into the river. In addition, stormwater treatment has the similar purpose and discharges the used water into the river as well.
