The bar chart illustrates the count of seals, whales and dolphins in the Gormez Straits from 2006 to 2018.
Overall all sea animals increased their numbers over the given period. It can be clearly observed that each population changed on a different rate.
In 2006 the number of seals stood at 43. However, over the following four years it decreased drastically, falling below 30. Subsequently, there was a steady rise until 2018, leaving the final count 45 animals. At the beginning there were 24 whales total. Their amount fluctuated between 20 and 30 during the time interval, ultimately reaching 28.
The dolphins population was the smallest in 2006 – only 16. However it turned to being the biggest in 2018 with over 50 animals. Their overall count increased three times during the twelve years. It is interesting to note that dolphins are the only species, whose number that does not decline.
