The bar chart illustrates the approximate deficit of food production to feed people globally by 2045 of five different continents.
Overall, it is clearly observed that the food production in Africa will be lacking by a great range in comparison to others. In contrast, there will be no deficit of food production in Europe by the year 2045. However, the shortage of food production in remaining continents will be minimal.
In Africa, 400 million MT extra food production will have been ensured to feed the world’s population. The South America is the 2nd highest in case of additional production of food. It needs to produce 50 million MT more food to cope with hunger of people. Asia will have to produce extra food of quantity almost 40 million MT in 2045. Almost 25 million MT of additional food will have to be managed by North America to tackle food related problems. At last, as the Europeans are already ahead in the race of food production, there is no deficit of food that will have to be produced by them in 2045.
In conclusion, it can be said that as Africa will have to produce a huge amount of food by 2045, it needs to improve its food production scheme and facilities. While there will be very little food deficit in Asia, North America and South America, there will be no extra amount of food that will be needed to prepare by Europe in 2045.
