Band 5: The Given below shows the changes in the places where people used to surf the internet in the year 1998,2000,2002 and 2004. (User-Written IELTS Writing Task 1 Sample)

The provided bar chart illustrates the proportion of people who used internet in different palaces named home, work, College and library in over a six-year period, starting in 1998.

On the whole, it can be seen that the use of internet in home which was the highest value in the given years. Furthermore, the use internet in home, College and library showed a fluctuation except at office, while the internet use in the work demonstrated a downward trend.

Looking at the information in more detail, it is obvious that people used online at home stood at 55% which was the highest ratio than other categories in 1998. Although it decreased to just under a half in 2000, increased to 55% in the following years. Whereas the proportion of people spent Their online time at work was about 30% at the beginning of the period. After this declined gradually to almost 15% in 2004.

Turning to the remaining data, it is clear that about 20 of people used internet at college in 1998, this percentage remained unchanged still by 2000. This proportion grew to abound 25%, but fell to 15% in the final year. The least percentage of people used internet in library showed a fluctuation from nearly 12% to 15% in the given years.
