The given line bar illustrates the percentage of GDP spent by the government among three areas: education, health and roads and railways from 2000 to present year (2020) and also estimates a projection up to 2025.
Overall, it can be clearly seen that. most years GDP in health was the highest in previous years as well as in future projections up to 2025. However, roads and rails got less priority in spending GDP most of the time by the government, and this trend follows in future.
More specifically, in 2000, the GDP spent percentage on education was 5% which was maximum, while decreasing gradually over time. According to chart, approximately, 4% was spent on education by 2000 which is expected to be at 3.8% by 2025. In contrast, the percentage of GDP for health in 2000 was the lowest one (4%), though it rose moderately over the period and was about 7% in 2020. Moreover, it is expected to grow in future and reach almost 7.5% by 2025.
Additionally, roads and railways always got least funding except 2005 and 2020 when spending was similar to education ( around 4.5% and 4% respectively) . From, 2005 to 2010, there was a dramatic fall of the spent amount at almost 4.5% to 3% in the same category , though a sharp increase was found between the year 2010 to 2020 which was 3% to 4% approximately. However, after 2020, around 3.6% GDP is expected for this sector by 2025.
