The given maps depicts the development that have taken place over a period of a decade.
Overall, radical changes have taken place over a period of 10 years. Many things have been added in the village park, whereas the functionality of the park is improved. However, the total area of the park is same.
Ten years ago, the park was fairly simple with entrance at the northwest corner. The football pitch was in the centre whereas, there was pond towards the south east direction of the football pitch. Adjacent to the pond, there were woods. To the north of the pitch, there were two tennis courts . Along with the tennis courts, children’s play area was located. On the south east of the tennis courts, there was a car park accommodated about 20 cars.
The second map shows the great changes within 10 years. The football pitch in the centre is condensed. However, towards the south west of it there is picnic area and on the south east boating lake is situated. There is a cafe adjacent to the boating lake . On the western side, the car park is designated for 50 cars. The number of tennis courts increases to four . Although, the children play area is not changed, the children’s soft play area is added. Toilets have been added towards the south of the children’s area .
