The given table and chart illustrates the total police budget for 2027 and 2028 in an area of Britain. The table gives information about the source of money and the pie chart shows how it was distributed.
Overall, there was a notable increase in budget from 2017 to 2018. Furthermore, the highest proportion was recorded in salaries, but the least was for technology in both the years.
To begin with, the table there was an increase in total amount raised for police budget, which is 304.7m in 2017 and 318.6m in 2019. The money from National Government increased over an year from 175.5m to 177.8m. Similarly, the money from local taxes had increased by 11.1m, whereas money from other sources had a small increase of 0.5m, which is from 38m to 38.5m.
According to the money spent, in 2017, 75% was used for employee salaries, which decreased to 69% in 2018. Whereas, there was a significant difference for technology which us 8% in 207 and 14% in 2018. However, the budget spent for building and transport remained the same at 17% for both the years.
