The bar graph illustrates 9 of the most popular physical activity (other, swimming, soccer, netball, tennis, basketball, table tennis, jogging and cricket) between both genders in Australia in 1990. Units are measured in percentages.
Overall, men recorded higher percentages in most activity than females from the period given. Male recorded the highest percentages in soccer, whereas the least was in netball. On the other hand, female recorded the highest in netball and the least in cricket. Furthermore, the most significant difference in sport of choice was netball.
It can be seen that, the most significant difference from male to female is in soccer, around 23% to 5% respectively, and male dominated most of the sports such as other physical activities, table tennis, basketball, and tennis.
However, women recorded 2 sports which they are more popular in, which is netball and jogging. Netball recorded the most significant difference over the whole data, which is 25% to 2%, meanwhile jogging only showed slight differences.
