The line graph presents Chinese population by age group in the 90 year period starting from 1960.
There are 3 different lines which contain trends of China’s population for different ages.
The 15-64 and 65+ age groups rates are quite similar, which can be noticed in their increasing by the end of the graph. The 15-64 age group’s rate line was rising dramatically until it reached almost 70% in 2000, then it increased steadily as it is reaching its peak in 2020. It is predicted that it will significantly and sharply decline as it will be reaching approximately 50% in 2050. The 65+ age group rate line was remaining stable low until 2010 before it started rocketing in 2020. It is expected that it will reach above 20% in 2050.
The 0-14 age group rate line started off high, though it fell gradually by years and halved in 2020. It is also forecasted that it will reach its low at 17.5% in 2050 by the end of the graph.
