The given line chart illustrates number of 3D displays, while the presented bar chart gives information on global movie premieres over a seven-year period between 2005 to 2012. Overall, it can be seen that 3D screens reached a peak in the end, whereas live action started to be released in 2008 and quickly became popular.
According to the line graph, the amount of of global digital 3D monitors remained the same from 2006 to 2008 – about 3,000 screens. However, then there was noticed a moderate increase in the number of 3D displays (10,000 in 2009). Looking more closely to the graph, we can see that 3D screens became popular in 2010-2011 reaching its highest – about 40,000 screens.
As it presented in the bar chart, there was two types of 3D cinema releases – live action and animation. It is obvious that live action is more popular than another kind. Value of animation was small and levelled off in a three-year period (2005-2012). After appearing of live action, the whole number of movie premieres climbed and reached more than 70 releases. As it was said above, this type of 3D cinema releases overtook animation and achieved amount of more than 50 premieres.
