The chart and table provide an information about proportions of graduates who worked full time and about their salary between 2004 and 2012 in Australia. Overall, it can be seen that percentage of full-time workers holding a university degree decreased, similarly to mathematics graduates. Notably, the average salary experienced an upward trend.
In 2004, the proportion of all graduates stood at 80%, followed by maths graduates (65%). The figure for the mathematics graduates sharply increased to about 90%, then slightly declined, being just over the 80%, standing at the same point as other graduates in 2006. Afterwards, the both of them exhibited a downward trend and stood at about 65% and 75% respectively in 2012.
The average salary of maths graduates was higher only at the end of the period, in comparison with that of the all graduates. However, it was the same in 2004, 2006 being 41000$ and 43500$ respectively. The salary of maths graduates then increased reaching 59000$, followed by that of the other graduates, standing at 53000$ in 2012
