The bar graph shows the percentage of children in 2 different genders taking part in various sports which are mentioned in the graph in 2003. What stands out from the graph is almost every sports had the higher participation of boys than girls and the most popular sport among boys and girls was swimming.
While swimming was favored among boys and girls, fewer boy partaken in this sport, about 8% less than girls. There were major differences between the rate of boys and girls joining in soccer and netball. Fewer girls partaken in soccer than boys, with 5% and nearly 25% in turn. Although the most popular sport among girls was netball, hardly any boys were involved in. Other sports also had the high engagement among boys and girls, with 20% and 12% perspective.
Martial arts and cricket had the same proportion of boys contributing to, at 10%. However, there were minority of girls taking part, which cricket was hardly played by girls. Tennis was more popular than basketball for both boys and girls, and althelics was the least popular among children.
