In 2009, Paticipation of boys and girls in various sports in Australia has shown via comparision by graph. Overall, In most of the sports, boys involvement can be noticed by big margin. However, Girls have shown huge interest in Netball and Swimming but in Athletics in minor difference.
Soccer was played by around 24% boys, which is highest involvment. Yet, parcentage of girls was 5% in this game. Swimming was played by not more than 14% of boys. Meanwhile, Girls’ second best engagement in any game around 21%. Netball was less popular among boys less than 1%. But This game is the most played game by 25% of the girls. Tennis, Basketball, Martial arts and Cricket were the modarate preferable sports among boys which was more or less than 10%. On the other side, the number could be found between 5% to less than 8% for girls. But Cricket was less common game played by them. Taking about Athletics, Girls stood at around 6% were slightly ahead of boys by 2%. In other common sports played by boys and girls, Boys numbers was notiably high then its counterpart, which were 20% for boys and 11% for girls.
In summary, Boys had more involvment in sport than girls. But, girls also dominated in some type of sports in a single year.
