The line graph illustrates the percentage of all unemplyed workers in the EU with three categories such as Manual, Professional and Self-employed from 1990 to 1999.
Overall, it can be clearly seen that Manual workers were in the highest level than other categories and Professional workers moved at the very bottom of the graph.
As for Manual employees, the figure started at 7.5% in 1990 and rose slightly to 9% in 1992. It then increased dramatically to 14.2% in 1994. In contrast, the percentage of Professional workers remained much lower, the figure started at 1.9% and remained stable in 1990 and 1991, however in 1992 a little more fall to 1.5%. The Manual workers in 1995 to 1996 dramatically decreased at 10% to 8.1% respectively. After that the figure remained unchanged from 1996 to 1998 and in the 1999 slightly rose to 7.9%. Whenereas, other employees grow from 1993 to 1997 at 2.3% to 5.7% respectively. Finally, it fall to 2.3% in 1998 and 1.9% in 1999.
In terms of Self-employed and all workers, both caategories moved the same way. First and the second categories started at 6% and 4.4% respectively. The Self-employed employees slightly increased to 6.2% in 1991 and immediately dropped to 4.9% in 1992. All workers moved similarly to 4.8% in 1991 and fall to 4% in 1992. After that both figures started growth from 8% to 12% and from 7% to 12.1% in 1993 to 1995 and 1993 to 1997 respectively. The first figure remained stable at 12.1% from 1996 to 1999. While, the second fall to 11% in 1998 and 10% in 1999.
