The graph depicts data about how the birth and death rates have changed since 1901 in New Zealand with projections to 2101.
Overall, it is readily apparent that the percentage of death will probably overtake the rates of birth in 2041. The highest percentage of birth was in 1961.
Analyzing the indices of death, it is evident that they pursued upward trend between 1901 and 2021 with nearly 30 million deaths in the latter year, and its figures will continue to rise until roughly 2061, accounting for around 58 million. Then, the figures will be at the same level at approximately 57% from 2061 to 2101.
Shifting focus to the number of births, its figures heavily varied between 1961 and 2001. In 1961, they dramatically grew, reaching a peak of around 65 million. After this, there was a considerable decrease to approximately 50 million in 1981, before climbing to the point of nearly 60 million in roughly 1990. It is anticipated, that its figures continue to decline to 2021, after they began to decrease in 1990.
