The line graph illustrates how how the number of birth and death changed in New Zealand from 1901 and 2101.
Overall, altough the figures for birth rises swiftly with widespread fluctuations,it is outraced by death rate which mainly grow steadily throughout the period.
In the first year, birth ranked first with 20000and it increased to around half as high as its initial level over the next 40-year period. This was followed by another surge, although much sleeper,in 1961when it reached its peak with more than 4 times birth. In contrast,it had violent fluctuations between over 60000 and 50000in the years 1981and 2021,after which this figure will undergo a gradual decrease of 7000 towards the end of the survey.
The figure for death initially stood at approximately 10000.Then,about 35000 people will reported to have born which is more than 3 times of its original level in 2021.There will be another precipitous rise and overtake the birth rate over the next 40 years and remained relatively unchanged.
