Likewise, emigration figures exhibited a moderate rise of 50 thousand by 2023 and are projected to peak at 420 thousand in 2027.
In terms of net immigration, the discrepancy oscillated over time. In detail, the first five years reported below 200 thousand difference while in 2023, this was widened to 250. From 2024 onwards, the net is expected to represent a general fall of 100 thousand, ending at around 150 thousand.
