The line graph illustrates changes in the unit sales of five different types of jam for a single company between 2009 and 2014.
Overall, the sales of strawberry, raspberry, and grape jam increased significantly over the period. In contrast, plum jam sales initially remained stable at the beginning of the period, then dropped sharply toward the end. Cherry jam sales fluctuated around the same level initially and then rose slowly until the end.
At the start of the period, sales showed minor variations. Between 2010 and 2012, unit sales of strawberry, raspberry, and grape doubled, while plum sales suddenly declined. In 2012, cherry and grape jam sales were at the same level, but this changed markedly soon after.
By 2013, the sales of strawberry, raspberry, cherry, and grape jam were still growing toward the end of the period. Strawberry jam sales reached a peak of 6.6 million units. By 2014, raspberry and grape jam sales showed an upward trend with a small difference in their figures. Although cherry jam sales fluctuated throughout the period, they reached 2.5 million units by the end. Meanwhile, plum jam sales dropped minimally from 2.5 million to 0.1 million units.
