The line chart compares the sales figures across 5 distinctive fruit jam categories in one particular corporation over a 5-year timespan.
From an overall perspective, revenue generated from all jam types increased over the period recorded, with the exception of plum jams, which notably declined by the end of the report. The strawberry jams considerably exceed all the remaining categories, while the plum jams witnessed the lowest unit sales.
In 2009, the strawberry products started at just under 3 million, prior to experiencing more than a twofold climb in the next two years, accounting for approximately 6 million. The subsequent growth was rather gradual than sharp, though the figures still reached its peak at around 6.5 million.
Raspberry and grape sales figures demonstrated relatively similar patterns throughout the timespan, with the former beginning with 3.5 million and the latter with 3 million. Both figures witnessed a moderate but stable increase by the end of the research period, except for a slight dip faced by the sales of raspberry jams during 2012. By 2014, grape jams had reached around 4 million units, in comparison with just over 5 million that of raspberry jams.
The sales of the plum jams prominently exceeded the cherry jams in the beginning, standing at 2.5 million and 1 million respectively. By 2011, their figures intersected at the point of virtually 2 million sales, right before starting a completely reversed trend. Over the further 3 years, the cherry jams more than doubled from 2 million to just over 4 million units, whereas plum rates had dramatically decreased by 2014, reaching its minimum at nearly zero sales.
