The amount of sugar eaten continued to increase gradually until it reaches around 27 tons.
As for the amount of sugar produced, it fluctuated around just under 20 tons to just under 35 tons. In 2001, the amount created is more than the amount eaten by around 4 tons. By 2003, the amount produced is similar to the amount consumed, at around 25 tons. After that, suger production fluctuated wildly, being significantly more than the number eaten in a timestamp and then suddenly become significantly less than the amount of consumption in the next timestamp.
