The bar chart provides information about the common activities of their bedtime routines of three types of group children.
Overall, there was a decrease in the number of bedtime routines’ activities in all listed age groups. Additionally, reading consistently had the highest figure in the bedtime routines.
Children aged 1-3 years in the US reading started at around 60, closely followed by having a bath with north of 40, brushing teeth with just over 30, and watching TV with 16, eating with about 20. The number of children in the age of 4-5 years spent most bedtime reading, at 70, with a subsequent decline to about 47, 36, 20, and 10 for brushing teeth, having a bath, watching TV and eating respectively.
In terms of the oldest age group, from 6 to 8 years, similarly, these two age groups, approximately 60 of this group spent most of their time before going to bed to read, which fell significantly for the rest of shown activities, with the lowest figure for eating routine, around 10.
