The line graph gives information about how many population of four Asian countries live in cities between 1970 and 2040.
Overall, it can be seen that all of countries experienced a growth and in the future the percentage of four countries people who live in cities will increase, notably, Malaysians Wil reach the peak.
In 1970, Indonesia showed the lowest point of all, with around 12% and Thailand was in about 19%. During 30 years both of them rose slightly and showed similar proportion, represented 30%. From 2000 to 2020, Indonesia took off sharply while Thailand increased only 1%. However they predicted that untill 2040 60% of Indonesians and approximately 47% of Thailand’s people will live in cities.
In initial year, Malaysia and Philippines showed almost similar percentages,30% and just over 30% respectively. Malaysia grew up by 10% in one decade, whereas Philippines increased slowly, with around 33%. In 1990, Philippines improved significantly and from that year to 2010 it had a dramatic decline, accounted for 40%. During 30 years, it continued a growth and in 2040 Malaysians who live in cities will represent about 53%. Unlike others Malaysia experienced an outstanding increase to the final year and 80% od their population will become city people
