The line graph depicts the data about the proportion of the people in four Asian countries living in cities from 1970 to 2020 with projections for 2030 and 2040. Overall, it can be seen that there is an increasing trend with proportion of the population living in cities.
It can be noted in 1970 that Philippines and Malayasia has 30% of the people living in cities and gradually it increased to 31% and 35% respectively for both of them. On the other hand, in the initial stages Thailand and Indonesia has only 15% of their citizens living in cities, but there is a slow and steady increase over the following years, but in2010 indonesia there only 47% of the people living in cities and for Thaliand there were only 25% of the people respectively.
For the future projections, it can be observedthat Malayasia has the largest proportion of the people living in its citizen which is 80% whereas for Philippines, there is a slight increase of over 50% living in cities whereas for Indoneasia and Thailand the figures has well increased over its also the same.
