The line graph illustrates four different regions’ oil consumption from 2009 to 2030. Overall, the United States of America has been and will be the highest consumer. Meanwhile, China, The Middle East, and Western Europe & Japan, stood and are expected to run at the same level.
Consuming more than 8 million barrels in 2009 and hit the peak point at 10 million barrels in 2015, USA has been the highest oil consumers. Although its consumption to oil slightly decreased from 2015 to 2025 and is predicted to decline more slightly than last period, 2015 to 2025, the United State of America will still be the most oil consuming country.
On the other hand, three other different regions, China, Middle East, and Western Europe & Japan, runned and are anticipated to stand at the same level which is between around 2 millions barrels and 4 million barrels. China and Middle East consumption decreased. Both of them stood at the same point, around 2 million barrels, in 2019 but China had more growth, which was around 4 million barrels in 2025, than the Middle East which grew and is projected to increase constantly to approximately 3 million barrels in 2030. However, China is expected to decline to around 3,5 million barrels in 2030. In Contrast, Western Europe and Japan experienced and are projected to have negative growth constantly, from around 4 million barrels in 2009 to about 2 million barrels in 2030.
