This line graph illustrates the participation trends for five different activities at a social centre in Melbourne from 2000 to 2020.
Overall, the Film club consistently remained the most popular activity throughout 20 years. In contrast, Amateur dramatics experienced a significant decline, while Table tennis and Musical performances saw substantial growth in their participant numbers.
The number of participants in the Film club at the beginning of the period was close to 65 people. After a slight decrease to 60 participants in 2010, this indicator again increased, having dropped to a peak of 68 participants until 2020. Martial arts demonstrated stability: starting from 35 peoples, the number of participants almost unchanged compared to the beginning of 2020.
The most dynamic changes were observed in other categories. Table tennis showed a growth trend. The number of tennis players increased from about 18 in 2000 to over 50 in 2020. Similar positive dynamics are observed in musical performances. This activity started from scratch in 2000, launched in 2005 and grew steadily, reaching at least 20 participants by the end of the period.
In conclusion, we can say that over 20 years, the priorities of the educational center have gave to sports and music, although the interest in cinema has become fundamental and unchangeable.
