The line graph illustrates the sales of five different kinds of jam between 2009 and 2014.
Overall, while the sales of plum and cherry jam experienced a decline over the period, raspberry and grape jam saw a steady rise, with strawberry jam undergoing the most dramatic increase.
In 2009, strawberry jam had the highest sales, at around 3 million units, followed by raspberry and plum jam both standing at 2.5 million. Although the sales of strawberry jam rose dramatically, reaching a peak of 7 million units, the figure for plum jam declined gradually and hit its low of 0 units in 2014. Meanwhile, the figure for raspberry jam rose steadily to 5 million units in 2012, before remaining relatively stable at around 5.5 million units in 2014.
By contrast, the sales of grape jam showed continuous growth, rising from around 0.5 million in 2009 to 4.5 million units in 2014. Cherry jam, however, fluctuated at the beginning of the period. This figure declined to 2 million in 2011 and recovered to 3 million in the following year. By 2014, it had steadily decreased to just below 3 million units.
