Overall, it is clear that while traditional news sources such as televisions, newspapers, and radio have declined over the period, the internet has seen and will continue to see a dramatic rise in popularity. However, television remained the dominat source for most of the period
in 1995, television was the most common means of accessing news, used by around 70% of people, followed by newspapers at about 55%. radio attracted roughly 35%, whereas theinternert was the least popular source, with only 5% of users. Over the next two decades, the proportion of people using internet increased sharlply, surpassingb bothn newspapers and radio around 2010, and overtaking television in the present period, reaching approximately 60%.
By contarst, television usage declined gradually to about 55% at present and is projected to fall further to 45% by 2025. Newspaper readership experienced a much steeper drop, decreasing from more than half of the population in1995 to roughly 20% now, and it is expected to fall to below 10% by 2025. Radio use also decloned moderately and it is predicted to remain relatively stable at around 20% in the coming years.
