The presented line chart compares and contrasts the amount of air pollutants, measured in millions of tonnes, originating from 3 different sources, including industry, transport and households over the course of 15 years. Overall, it is obvious that there was a decline in almost all categories, while the opposite is true for transport. Additionally, the figure recorded in industry took the leading position with the exception of the last 3 years.
To begin with, the sum of all sources of air pollutants witnessed a considerable decrease from nearly 8 millions of tonnes to 6 millions of tonnes during the period. Being the highest statistic, the industry air pollutants stood at around 6 millions of tonnes in 1900, then, this figure fell dramatically 3 times in the next 15 years, making it became the second largest at the end of the survey. The initial household air pollutants were only 1 millions of tonnes, this number continued to remain steadily until experiencing a slight drop by 1 millions of tonnes between 1999 and 2005, which is the lowest position of all the others.
Having the same data as household pollutants in 1990, the feature for transport then fluctuated between 1 and 2 millions tonnes before showing a surge of approximately 3 folds in the following 3 years, became the highest at the end of time.
