To start with, in 1971, approximately 45% of household owned no car, while 32% and 25% of European who had 1 car and more than 2 cars respectively. By 1981, the percentage of households with no car had slightly decrease by 5% to at 40%, while those with 1 car and more than 2 car had gradual increase at almost 45% and 33% approximately.
