Overall, there is a rise in the figures for oil expenditures in China and the Middle East throughout the period, with the decrease in the figures for the USA and Western Europe & Japan. In addition, the USA consistently has the fluctuation and highest figures but the dramatic decline in the last two years.

At the beginning of the period, in 2009, the number of the USA citizens consuming oil started at 9 millions of barrels per day, after which it saw growth to 10 millions of barrels per day. The figures for China and the Middle East saw a similar change, both increasing to a peak of just over 2 millions of barrels per day. Opposite changes can be seen in the figures for Western Europe & Japan people oil consumption decline to 3 millions of barrels per day.
