Overall, it is noticeable that the number of people in the age range of 46 to 65 joining in GYM rooms was decreased, while this figure for other age group increased over the period of 19 years. In particular, the most dramatic change was seen in 18-to 25-year-olds group.
The percentage of 18 to 25 and 26 to 45 years old people saw an upwward trend between 1984 and 2003. In 1984, residents from 26 to 45 years old was the most crowded group visiting gymnasium once a month or more with approximately a third, then this figure rose slightly to 40% in 1989 declining almost 35% in 1994 before going up over a half in 2003. In the first ten years, the number of individuals going to fitness centre grew gradually, until 1994, this quantity overtook people from 26 to 45 age group to become the highest ịn the last year at around 65%.
Turning to the remaining age group, it can be seen that the percentage of over-65- years- old people who took part in exercise rooms fluctuated from 10% to 20% in 19 years, whereas people falling into the age 46 to 65 in 2003 were less interested in GYM than in the year 1984. It stared at a fourth in 1984 and after increasing by almost 3%, this figure continued going down under 20% in the last of period.
