The bar chart compares the percentages of four waste material that were recycled in a town in the years 2000, 2005, and 2010.
Overall, it is clear that the town’s efforts on recycling waste materials were greatly improved. These four waste materials were recycled around a similar data in 2000, but metal and cans products were mostly recycled at the end of this period.
In 2000, plastic, cans, paper, and metal products were recycled under 15%. Five years later, the town improved on three categories which were plastic, paper and metal products. The most noticeable improvement was the metal products, it jumped from 11% to 29% during five years. Following by the recycled amount of paper (18%) and plastic (11%). However, the recycling efforts for cans dropped from 14% in 2000 to 12% in 2005.
In 2010, the town made a great improvement in recycling work. The wasted metal products were recycled at 40%. But the biggest change was the recycling of cans at around 35% in 2010, a twofold increase compared to 2005. The efforts of plastic and paper recycling also went up to 25% and 29% respectively.
