The graph illustrates radio and television audiences in different hours of a casual day in 1992 in United Kingdom.
The two different lines explain the most activity period of UK population; in the morning while a lot of people could stay at work in the offices or laboratories, the radio’s audiences is higher than television one. Instead, after noon, the situation is the opposite, in this case the people who watch television is more than the other and in general it’s a percentage more or less the middle of the representative sample.
In this way the illustration could be a way to compare television and radio, showing what Uk population prefers, but it gives information about their daily activities: for example in the morning they could be at work or at school, because this graph provides information on people over 4 years old, and in the evening they could be at home, relaxing watching tv-programs.
