The graph illustrates the changes of price in various kinds of food from 1978 to 2009.

In essence, it is clearly apparent to notice that all four categories showed upward trends throughout the mentioned period. Additionally, fresh fruits and vegetables dominated the highest price change, while carbonated drinks took the last place.

In the initial year, the price change of organic products was over 50. Though the year between 1983 and 1985 witnessed a slight drop in the price of fresh products compared to the other ones, it then continued rising dramatically and finally reached its peak at over 300 units. On the other hand, the figure of the consumer price index is lower than the aforementioned one, only around 200.

Regarding the remaining categories, both of them underwent an increase in the figures of price change. Starting at 50 units, sugar and sweets significantly rose to 150 in 2009, which is far higher than the ratio of price change happened in carbonated water with only 100 units recorded.
