The given graph illustrates infomation about the amount of the money invested in clean energy in the UK from 2008 to 2015.
Overall, what stands out from the graph is that generally wind energy was most prefered energy type all the time.
In 2008, goverment was spending about 50% of its assets on wind energy, almost $200 million on energy-smart technologies and $1 billion on other types of energy. The following year, the amount of investment in wind energy increased dramatically from $1 billion to $7 billion taking over 85% of the money outflow. Next year in 2010, funding rate of wind energy slightly decreased and Solar energy began to be used. Between 2011 and 2014 contribution of wind energy has slowly increased, while other types did not necessarily change. Finally in 2015, amount of shares of wind electricity supply were at its peak with $10 billion funds received, followed by Solar electricity supply at $3 billion funds received.
To sum up, it is possible to see the increase of UK’s spends on energy generation during the last 7 years.
