The line graph details three different companies in terms of their waste output from 2000 to 2015.
It is immediately evident that there were significant changes in the amounts of waste generated by all three companies shown on the graph. While companies A and B saw waste output fall, the amount of waste produced by company C increased considerably over the 15-year period.
In 2000, the amount of waste discarded by company A dwarfed that of other companies, at around 12 tonnes, after which it steadily declined to about 8 tonnes in 2015. A different pattern can be seen in the figure for company B. Specifically, this figure gradually rose from roughly 8 to 10 tonnes of waste between 2000 and 2005, but it then experienced a considerable drop, to just 3 tonnes at the end of the period.
Such discrepancies can be observed in the waste generation of company C. Company C’s waste output initially occupied the lowest position on the list, at around 4 tonnes of waste, which was nearly half that of company B. This figure experienced an infinitely dramatic increase over the next 15 years, with the figure reaching a peak at approximately 10 tonnes of waste in 2015.
