Regarding television, individuals aged 75 and over spent 4.5 hours per day on this activity, which was nearly double the time spent by those aged 15-19 (2.4 hours). A similar disparity can be seen in reading, where the elderly spent 1.0 hour, compared to a negligible 0.2 hours for the younger demographic. Relaxing and thinking also saw higher engagement from seniors, at 0.6 hours versus only 0.1 hours for teenagers.
In contrast, teenagers spent significantly more time on digital entertainment, with 1.1 hours dedicated to playing games or using computers, compared to only 0.5 hours for seniors. Participation in sports and recreation was also higher among the youth (0.6 hours) than the oldest population (0.2 hours). Finally, the time spent socializing was relatively similar for both groups, at 0.8 hours for adolescents and 0.7 hours for the elderly.
