The graph demonstrates the mean variation in the prices of metals namely, copper, zinc and nickel on a monthly basis in the year 2014 It depicts how the prices of these metals experience changes throughout the year.
Overall, it is quite evident that there are no major variations in the price of copper and zinc in the months of 2014 However, nickel has experienced a roller coaster in the price variations.
In the months of January and February, the price of nickel dropped heavily by 5%, which then got stabilized upto the month of June, which saw another drop by 4%. Nickel saw gradual increment in the third quater of the year it is also quite evident that the price of Copper saw no major variations as the price saw slight positive variation in mid 2014. Zinc saw a spike in the month of February by increasing upto 2% which gradually came down to stabilization by the month of May. Even though, zinc experienced a drop in the month of June by 2%, it stabilized by the third quater of the year.
