The diagram provides information about the full-time members who used a health club in Miami every month over last year. The pie charts demonstrate visitors divided by gender and age profiles.
Overall, more men than women attended the club, with their numbers rose significantly during the summer before declining. When it comes to age profile, the majority of attenders of both genders were aged 21 to 45 years old.
To begin with, in the first four months of the year, the number of members experienced a moderate rise, staying at the range of 500 to approximately 580 for women and 550 to 650 for men, respectively. In contrast, during the next four months, the popularity of the health club increased noticeably, peaking at a bit more than 850 men in June and about 720 women in August. Although the number of women in the club was fluctuating slightly until December, there was a huge downward for men’s attendance. Finally, in December, the number of women came back to 500 as it was in January.
As regards male and female membership by age, the overwhelming majority of members are 21-45 year olds. Moreover, females tend to visit the club at the age of 65 and older more often than men, since only a modest quarter of men members are older than 64, compared to 32% of women at the same age. The percentage of the other age group is almost the same for both genders.
